I dont have wood planks but I have a lot of foam and plastic that I use for crafting and tabletop terrain construction.
Not just 2x4s. 4x4s too. Never know!
Yup. But mainly because I have a small woodshop in the backyard. Never know when scrap is going to come in handy.
Ive got like 3 in the garden but they are 2.5m long so a bit shit use as an emergency club
Mine is hanging from the ceiling. Used scrap wood to build a scrap wood holder.
I have a walking stick I found when I was 10 which was in great condition.
I’m 33 now, and I still have it although I use it because I’m too lazy to grab anything when in bed. I quite like the idea of needing it for its intended use many decades from now.
Not anymore. I evolved!!
I do, but in my defense, I use them regularly.
I have some nice stuff in various sizes that is definitely “maybe someday” wood, though.
I feel called out in an awkward way.
2×6 is the one that stays around no matter how short it is for reasons.
guilty
I don’t even have a garage
I actually used mine to build a new chicken perch today!
Pieces of plywood but yeah.
I keep them for a while and the. The next time we go camping they get cut to length to fill up milk crates and made into a camp fire.
Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them!
No but I have used tires I might need later trust me
1x1s 4x4s, 2x6s, 2x8s, 2x10s etc here. They get used to build stuff. Wood is expensive. Seems like you have a problem with someone in your life lol
I had a wooden stake in my garage for three years, that I used the other day.
I have probably hundreds of offcuts of wood, box steel, round bar, flat sheets, old rusty and broken bolts, nuts, tools, etc.
I might need them one day.
Use them all the time!
2x4s, various scraps of plywood, various lengths of PVC pipe, a section of downspout, I’ve got all sorts of stuff.
I did but I used them all.
Do you want these random lengths of 2×4 to be treated or untreated?
They’re next to the box with random plumbing fittings (copper 10mm and 15mm plus a selection of UPVC fittings for 32mm, 40mm 50mm and 110mm pipe) The box is sitting next to an assortment of ply, dowel and offcuts from previous DIY jobs.
Bro. I had enough scrap lumber and siding to build a shed to hold the rest of the scrap lumber and siding.
/raises hand
I think that I have seen enough episodes of Hoarders that I could never store much of anything in my home.
My father was a woodworker and he did this.
About 4-6 lengths left over from a few years ago, all 2.8 – 3.2m long
I did! I had a good pile going back a decade, Until 3 weeks ago when I needed a bunch of random length boards for a last min project for my step kid’s youth group.
I have an old house and the previous owner “fixed up a few things” which means I have a 4′ x 10′ space in my basement full of wood with no fing clue what anything is for
2×4,2×6,2×8,4×4 various scraps of plywood… never throw out good wood.
You didn’t have to attack me like this…
But hey, at least you didn’t call out the half piece of polyiso insulation I’ll definitely need some day…
We are guys, it’s required
Lmao, I moved and brought my scrap 2×4’s with me to the new house
