I go to work to make money not friends not once in the last 10 yrs have I hung out or done anything with a co-worker so no you are not alone
I’m friendly, but not friends with co-workers.
I only started making friends when I started being more open at work. Since I moved multiple states away from where I grow up, the only friends I got are my current and old cowprkers. I get the reason for separating work and friends, but I spend so much time in the office, so little time outside, it is so much easier to make friends in the office.
Making friends at work is a preference – and sometimes that preference is based on that person’s social skills. I tend to make friends at every job I’ve had – and some have become close friends too.
How many jobs has this cost me over the years? I still believe in keeping work associates as work associates, and this has always led to my destruction in the work place. They always love when i first get there and appreciate my work ethic, but despise that i don’t stroke their ego.
