Bonus points if it’s not a predictable choice.

  1. Before he cheats by Carrie underwood is surprisingly easy to sing to and is a well known enough song that other people will probably join in too

  2. Haven’t listened to it in a long time but I think that “Bet on me” is pretty light

  3. I love karoaking – if you’re not that good I suggest doing something fun that the crowd will love and NOT taking it seriously (that’ll be awkward). I don’t know your age or the bar demographics so I really can’t tell you what will be a fun crowd pleaser. For me in small town Washington, country is usually a hit. Something like “friends in low places”.

  4. Gives You Hell by the All American Rejects was always a favorite of mine when I was young

  5. I like to go for Crazy Rap (colt 45 and 2 zig zags) by Afroman but it’s no everyone’s cup of tea

  6. If everyone is super drunk… Baby Shark. If people are relatively sober, anything from the 90s. American Idiot by Greenday, What’s my Age Again by Blink 182, Stacey’s Mom by Fountains of Wayne, or any major song by Queen. People will sing with you guaranteed.

  7. what is a song that you loved from high school or when you were 5 yyo? those songs are in your DNA.

  8. Burnin’ For You by Blue Oyster Cult has been my go-to sing-along song lately. Simple with easy words to remember but also still groovy

  9. Anything by Joan Jett, but especially “Bad Reputation.”

    “Tom’s Diner,” by Suzanne Vega.

    “500 Miles,” by the Proclaimers.

I think you have a pretty good chance of audience participation on all of those, which is fun.

  10. Can you rap? I can’t sing but I can rap. Practice before and people will love. Maybe a fun Eminem song, like Slim Shady.
