My husband will be turning 50 shortly. His childhood was less than great, father left at a young age so he grew up with an abusive alcoholic mother that she would also get with men that would beat him and his brother. He turned out to be an amazing man and accomplished so much in his life.

I want to get gifts he wasnt able to have when he was growing up, so what were the popular games/toys in the late 70s and 80s?

Thank you!!!

I feel like bowling was prob a popular past time back then too (I just turned 50 myself).. maybe get a bunch of friends together and go bowling too ?

  2. What’s his love language? Will he appreciate a wonderful and thoughtful gift like this? Or would he prefer something like quality time with you on a vacation, time with family, special bday intimacy, etc.

  3. When I turned 50 my wife rented me a corvette convertible for a weekend. I loved those cars from the first one I saw as a kid. Best gift ever even if I had to return it.

  4. You should surprise him with 50 balloons (in his favorite color!) as well.
