I saw something recently that made a big distinction between mfm / fmf etc with the implication that this is now seen as more ‘regular’ as part of a couple’s sex life than was the case a few years ago?

  1. Not sure how mainstream threesomes are but we’ve had a few mfm’s, starting a couple years ago. We’ve been married 13 years and have just recently started exploring things like that. It’s been an incredible ride the last couple years.

  2. I think when active on groups like this, you got an echo chamber effect.

I never had a threesome and this probably won’t be any soon. My wife isn’t bi, so a MFM would be the only option (I’m bi). Plus she thinks this isn’t in line with her values. I’m not asking either.

I never heard any of my friends having a threesome. This includes both women and men.

I’m not having any statistics, but my guess is it’s a minority…

  3. They’re not really mainstream. Many more couples are open to exploring these days, partly because of society and partly because of the wealth of things you can find online now. As younger generations grow up, many are more willing to do more things and experiment.

But the “mainstream” and more usual is still for a relationship between two people and for it to stay that way. The internet will have you believe that it’s more common than it actually is for people to have threesomes whereas the vast majority haven’t ever done so.

  4. I had one , wasn’t fun .
They’re not common , but not rare either anymore . Porn has definitely increased peoples interest in trying them in a relationship , which has ruined and caused issues for way more relationships that it’s helped .
