I will preface this saying im a little socially awkward and pretty shy.. Today at work this lady complimented my hair twice while I was loading her grocerys in her car. I thanked and told her how much I appreciated it and was obviously a little flustered. When I got back to my department I realized I could’ve asked for her number cause she was pretty good looking. So would that be the right to to ask someone and if not when is the right time?

If she is a regular customer, then see what happens next time. Some people are just polite and may view a compliment as a way of saying thank you without giving you a monetary tip for loading their groceries.
