Relationship Struggles (27F, 33 M)

I (27F) started dating my boyfriend (33M) last summer officially. We knew each other long distance for about 2 years prior to that. I took the plunge and moved here (he’s from souther USA, I’m from Canada) and everything was great for the first little bit (December, January etc)…come February, everything started going to shit- his dogs started to get sick, his mom started to hate me more and more and his job cut his hours down to barely nothing. He was divorced in 2018 and has had to move back in with his controlling and abusive mother who consistently guilts him. On top of this, he has a history of being very badly abused from his childhood and is very untrusting. Our relationship is currently suffering because he cant balance it all and of course its taking a major toll on him (bc im all alone here, he cant provide me what I need atm). His dogs are sick, but he wont put them down because he isnt ready, he cant move out of his moms house because he cant leave his dogs with her to make money etc etc so its just a big catch 22

Im being as supportive as I can it’s just affecting me and im unsure what to do. I know I cant help him anymore than I already am, im just so exhausted and drained. It’s like we’re just circling over and over and he keeps saying he isnt making excuses (he’s applying to other jobs etc or i go over to let his dogs out so he can work), its just affecting my mental health being alone most of the time
