I can drink a *little* \- around 4 units of alcohol a week, so that also means that something with trace amounts of alcohol (0,3% abv ish) is also perfectly fine.

I’ve been trying out a variety of non-alcoholic beers, as well as a few cocktails. What are your best tips?

  1. My dad decided to give up drinking, and he decided to just start drinking soda and fruit juice. Man’s got more willpower than I, that’s for sure

  2. Tonics do the trick for me. Being bitter and having little sugar kinda (*kinda*) reminds me of booze. Add some shit like syrups, herbs and *botanicals* (hmm fancy) and it can be a bearable substitute.

  3. Tonic water with a juice of your choice added.

    just remember when you go out with anyone else they automatically assume that you are their nominated driver and free cab home.

  4. Option: don’t just dump the booze. Get rid of all the lifestyle and pastimes that go with it.

    Stop hanging around drinkers and don’t go to the events where they drink.

    Instead get really fit, really healthy and get a new way to be you.

  5. Hoplark is pretty good. It’s actually not even a beer but a hoppy tea instead.

  6. I have got properly hooked recently in the hot weather on pints of lady grey iced tea with a shot of peach fruit squash in it.

  7. Water, coffee, milk, low sugar or no sugar versions of Gatorade/Powerade.

    I miss alcohol, honestly. Not afraid to admit that. I’ll probably start drinking again someday.

  8. I’m a social drinker/smoker. But 99% of the time I don’t.

    Water every day. Sparkling if that’s your thing. When out mocktails for the fruity bits and shit (virgin mojito, and plenty others), or just ice tea/juice. I tend to stay away from energy drinks and soda, too unhealthy (he says after admitting to smoking lmao).

  9. Water. I like the zero sugar flavour mixers to go with it. Smoke weed instead of drinking. Pizza.

  10. What do you mean? To drink? I like root beer, for the effect, there is medication that can give you the same effect as alcohol, that was offered to a friend of mine by a doctor after a medical condition made it unsafe to drink alcohol

  11. I don’t drink anything but water. It’s the only liquid humans are supposed to drink once they’re off the tit as babies.

    I keep a tea pot around but almost never use it. Even when I do, I like my tea so weak and black that it might as well be hot water.

    Just stick with water. You’ll be healthier that way. 🙂
