  1. Easy Company, Parachute 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army 1944-45 or the 1980 US Olympic Men’s Hockey Team.

  2. Outside of the founding fathers, I would go with the engineers and mathematicians that worked on the Apollo program.

  3. The group that gathered to listen to Martin Luther King Jr.’s I have a dream speech

  4. Richard Petty

    Cale Yarborough

    Bobby Allison

    Dale Earnhardt

All raced in the 1979 Daytona 500. All NASCAR champions, all NASCAR hall of famers

  5. The 70,000+ that stormed Normandy. Watch Ken Burns’ Documentary “The War” for a glimpse of the courage involved

  6. The D-Day invaders and their support teams. Many of them knew going into the mission that there was a high probability of failure or that it was a suicide mission, but they went anyway because they knew that was the best chance of preserving freedom in the western world.

  7. The entirety of people that served in WWII

The entirety of people that served in the Revolution and the Founding Fathers.

  8. Cotton Hill and the greatest collection of soldiers this country has ever known:

Stinky, Fatty, Stinky, Brooklyn, Stinky, Brooklyn, Fatty, Fatty, and Doc…oh, and Irwin Linker

  9. Continental army that fought the British by far

I’m currently reading a book called 1776 by David McCullough. Really shows how badass those guys were.

  10. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. There’s American, then there’s EXTRATERRESTRIAL AMERICAN.

  11. The passengers and crew on United Airlines Flight 93 who stopped the plane from hitting its intended target.

  12. People have already mentioned Normandy invaders , and other military operations. Those are great.

My favorite group of Americans would be the thousands of people who worked on the Apollo missions that for us to the moon.

  13. If we’re doing sorts it’s the 1980 Olympic hockey team, period. Though I’m gonna have to go with everyone who said the troops on D-Day.

  14. Wu tang clan, the cast n crew of the sopranos, your group of friends that dont tell people about the time you got so drunk you shit yourself.
