It’s on pretty much everything that might be sold in California. It’s a running joke at this point and nothing to worry about.
Nah, there’s a lot of them in a lot of places in California, if you feel worried maybe air them out outside or something. Something in the product set off the prop warning to be necessary and I’d bet its probably residual fumes or something from manufacturing or whatever. Leaving the pair outside for a few days should get rid of all the possible fumes. You could also wash them or something.
Go to a Starbucks in California or any other restaurant in CA.
There will be a similar carcinogen sign. One time I saw an explanation that was something like all coffee and baked goods at Starbucks, and anything that has been baked even homemade will contain trace amounts of this carcinogen.
Dosage is everything. Water has an LD50 (lethal dose for 50% of population). It is rather high and you would probably be unable to drink this quantity of water, but it is possible.
Another example is cyanide is an extremely toxic poison found in apple seeds.
The lethal dose of apple seeds is ~250k according to this random quora post. https://www.quora.com/Approximately-how-much-cyanide-is-in-an-apple-seed
Prop 65 is basically meaningless because for something to not require the label the company has to do an extensive amount of work to prove it does not cause cancer even if use incorrectly
You can ignore it. Prop 65 is the text book definition of well intentioned law with unintentional outcomes everything here (CA) has that label.
No. Pretty much everything can increase cancer risk, so pretty much everything has a Prop 65 warning. We Californians don’t even notice them anymore.
Are you in California? If not then you’re good to go. /s
I bought a firearm that’s illegal in CA, and it still came with a prop 65 warning.. I’d say they’re a little overkill and something to worry about.
Just ignore it. The state of cancer has been known to cause California.
If you’re nervous about the shoes, return them or throw them out. You’ll never feel secure in wearing them.
Lol, no they’re a joke.

I used to live in California and I still see the warning label on many things I buy in Ohio. It’s such a pointless thing.
Ignore it like all of us locals do.
