What’s a romantic comedy that you know would be terrible in real life but you still love watching?

  1. For me, it’s the original Overboard.

The concept is an absolute horror story and the male lead should’ve been thrown in jail…. but Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell really sell it for me.

  2. I’m gonna say the Notebook, only because of the scene where Noah is dangling on the ferris wheel to ask her out. Realistically, that’s insane

  3. *Employee Of The Month*.

Living with his grandmother slacker only starts to try to impress a new co-worker?

I don’t even like Dane Cook but still enjoy watching it from time to time, mostly for some personal nostalgia.

  4. Love Actually.

People love to hate on this movie because the stories are all messy but that’s what I love about it. The characters are all very flawed and they make stupid irrational decisions because of love.

(Of course in real life I wouldn’t agree to marry someone who doesn’t speak my language, nor would I want my husband’s best friend to profess his love to me, nor would I get with my boss whose twice my age etc.)

  5. Practical Magic

It’s not really comedy but the idea of men dying for loving a woman seems terrible

  6. The Fault in Our Stars

It would have to be heartbreaking to know that you have Cancer and then you fall in love with someone who also has terminal Cancer… Heartbreaking πŸ’”

  7. hitch, dating strategy is a dishonest manipulative way to get someone to like you. its best to be honest about yourself so you can find a person who matches you for who you are. This being said it was a cute movie

  8. Hitch bc I don’t think I could look at will smith & not think of him slapping Mr. Rock
