It must be incredibly awkward for the driver to have to lean over all the time because the pedals aren’t underneath the wheel. Is this why American cars tend to understeer?

  2. We have left hand drive because we won the Revolution and didn’t become a long-term colony.

  3. It’s because we americans are overly friendly and have no concept of personal space.

    This way the driver can lean all over the passenger when driving

  4. Um … we have the steering wheel on the driver’s side.

    We drive on a different side of the road than you do in the UK, so the driver is on a different side of the car.

  5. Because the passenger side is where my dog sits and he’s a terrible designated driver.

  6. It’s incredibly difficult. That’s why I’m postal trucks steering wheel is on the correct side. The government worried about getting sued if the driver had to reach over to use the pedals.
