Can I take a 1000 mAh power bank into a plane as handluggage?

  1. Double check with your airline but yes I believe so. I certainly have had no issues on either a domestic flight or flight to Spain, different airlines both this year. You may need to remove it from your hand luggage at security in the same was as iPads and laptops etc.

    You definitely can’t take batteries in hold luggage on many flights as the hold isn’t pressurised and they can be a fire hazard

  2. I’ve flown loads this year and it’s never been an issue on the airlines I’ve flown with. You should be fine. They’ll just ask you to take it out of your bag for security.

  3. Yes. You actually HAVE to have it in carry on, it’s not allowed in the hold (fire risk).

  4. I usually bring 10000mah on domestic, international and intercontinental flights without any problems.
