I know very little about American city subreddits doing meet-ups after the pandemic. I know that r/Chicago has its own calendar, but I’m not sure if they use it for meet-ups. In the sub of the state I live (and mod), we have [this event](https://www.reddit.com/r/saopaulo/comments/vld2gd/a_%C3%BAltima_ceia_clandestina_festinha_do_reddit_foi/) every month. The host makes the food based on a quirky theme.

I mod /r/Providence and they have had several meetups. I haven’t attended one.
We have three city sub reddits. The two main ones both claim the other is the crazy right wing one and the third only like 10% of people even realize exists. I abandoned them all when they stopped being a useful source of good pictures and current traffic anomalies and became a shit show of bitching about… everything.
I cannot imagine the shit show that would be a reddit meetup for them.
The people on my city subreddit tend to be pretty salty, so I’m not sure I would go to a meetup if they had one.
I grabbed a beer with /u/smokejaguar before, but it wasn’t as part of a meet up. He’s organized them in the past.
[They used too…](https://www.reddit.com/r/cringepics/comments/jkuegj/nsfw_the_infamous_2012_baltimore_reddit_meetup/) Its only talked about in hushed tones nowadays…

I really don’t want to meet them, all r/newjersey does is whine
I love /r/Boston but people bitching about the T is everyday life.
I guess if you count Trump and Q-Anon rallies as IRL meet-ups.
They did before covid, I don’t know about now.
r/Charlotte does, I haven’t been though
