My wardrobe is pretty basic, just plain tees, various colors 75% of the time.

I’m looking to buy a bunch of new tshirts cause mine are getting old.

What shirts do you swear by? I’m 6’1 and 205lbs, and I am terrible at buying clothes. Since I’m a slightly taller than average, I end up buying shirts that are never long enough, or a shit fabric.

  1. Im a fan of band merch shirts. Almost all of them are 100% cotton and last for ages, plus you get to support your favourite band. They are widely available in a very wide array of sizes.

Downside: most of them are black, a good chunk of prints are just plain ugly or edgy and they all cost around 30 bucks

  2. Eddie Bauer. I don’t buy or wear anything else from there, but their T Shirts are great, fit well, come in all colors, last long, and don’t cost much. Also H&M T shirts are cheap, comfortable, and fashionable, just don’t last long. Banana Republic if on sale are a great look and feel, again just don’t last but maybe a year.

  3. i have two shirts and two pants that are exactly the same. i wear them every day when going somewhere. after i come home i do laundry, and then by the next morning it usually dries (but if not i use the other set that is exactly same).

I’ve been doing that for years and still consider it best way of doing things

  4. I’m into collecting designs I like from small brands, queer designers, internet creators that I like. As much cotton as possible, and no poorly made $10 tees.

  5. my favorite ones are from patagonia, I like the capilene daily shirts the most but the others are good as well. I’m about 6’3 205 and find they fit well in XL. the only ones that are a little short are the lightweight capilene ones, these also run a bit tighter. you can also patagonia stuff used on sites like poshmark, ebay, patagonia’s worn wear, etc. to save some money

If you’re just after cheap t-shirts that don’t suck, then I’d look at target, though they run a bit short. They have tall sizes online but seems like their stock is low. Uniqlo is also worth a try. Their oversized airism shirts are pretty nice if you’re into oversized stuff.

  6. I try not to wear anything that has the brand’s logo visible. It bothers me to pay to be an advertisement for someone else. If there’s a brand logo on my shirt, the company should be paying me to wear it.

  7. Calvin Klein basic under shirts. A 3 pack is like $40 so they are about $13 each. Only comes in black, white, and grey though. Because they are more of a modern fit, they run pretty small so I at 205lbs I would recommend at least a large, maybe XL.

  8. I wear a lot of Sonoma brand anymore. Super soft. I buy mine from Kohl’s- don’t know it’s that helps you out or not.

  9. I like streetwear but i guess you need a certain vibe to pull them off. I love crooks and castles, huf, diamond supply co, and primitive clothing

  10. There are two companies that I buy from for T-Shirts

Zero Foxtrot – some really cool designs (some pop culture influenced, so original)

Local Menace – its an art collective based out of Dallas and all of their designs are original and pretty cool.

  11. I’ve spent most of my life wearing merch shirts – so many places hand them out for free and they last for years – that I’ve only recently had to decide on a style. I’m going for the “granddad” long-sleeved, plain shirts. If it’s cold, sleeves stay down. If it’s hot, just pull up the sleeves and if you stick to neutral colours, they go with just about anything. Hell, if that brand doesn’t make the sleeves long enough for your liking, just pull them up a bit and you look great (and probably don’t go for that brand next time).

  12. Huge fan of “fresh clean tees” I’m 5’-10” 170ish and wear a medium and they’re great quality. Super soft , don’t shrink, fit great, lots of colors, not expensive.

Also the never change the discount code so use fresh20 for 20% off

  13. If you want cheap, blank tshirts check your local craft store. They will have a variety of colors.

  14. My latest favorites are my v neck Psycho Bunny tees. Just V necks in general. Too many t shirts have sleeves that are too long, so that’s the first thing I look for.

  15. Dickies makes a short sleeve performance cooling tee that is awesome. Great quality, good color selection, and reasonably priced. They’re just pocket tees with no designs, but that sounds up your alley. Otherwise, Raskol Apparel makes super good quality shirts with sick designs.
