It’s usually just random. Lick a click in my brain. Never had a ons/fwb/hookup. Only relationships. And, when I meet someone I want, it just kind of is a for sure thing that I want it.
When you start making more plans with that person than without them is usually the tipping point.

I can tell you the exact point that I knew that I wanted this girl in my life. It felt like an epiphany, where I suddenly realized with crystal clear clarity that I *loved* this one. Not just liked, as I had been kidding myself.

Well I like her in the first place if I’m going on more than a single date because I thought she was hot, and we continue to get along well and our physical and interpersonal intimacy increase.
Call it inertia. Call it the trajectory of our interactions arcing successfully. It’s not some spur of the moment decision brought on by a fit of pique, it is the natural result of our interactions and chemistry.
Wanting to be a couple or date exclusively or be boyfriend-girlfriend level partners is not super complex.
