  1. Metal Gear Solid. I can basically recite the entire plot of all 7ish games in about an hour.

  2. Rare illnesses– not a doctor or researcher, I’m just fascinated by all the weird ways our bodies can malfunction

  3. Budgies, I have five of them and I did research for 6 months before I got them

  4. The Titanic (the actual ship, not the movie). The fascination started as a kid and I don’t know where it came from.

  5. Kinky stuff, fetishes and their psychological meaning. I’m not a psychologist yet. And I’m pretty vanilla but I found the subject fascinating

  6. Dog breeds. Not a breeder, and right now I don’t have any dogs, but I had this huge dog breed encyclopedia as a kid, and I watched a lot of purebred dog shows on TV growing up.

  7. 70’s bands, crime and investigation, serial killers, ancient egypt, Psychology. Pick one

  8. The history and structure of north American indigenous flutes often misnamed spirit flutes because of that sell out odell borg.

  9. Depends what you refer to as abnormal.

I know tonnes about ferrets but I feel that is my responsibility as a ferret owner.

Same as I know a ridiculous amount about Taekwondo philosophy and poomsae but I both train and instruct taekwondo so I don’t know if that’s abnormal either!

  10. My family calls me a random font of knowledge…

I can and will elaborate on all kinds of obscure things, that is a threat

I consider myself a scholar of the obscure, I know far to much about the various cases of cannibal activity’s in history, the details of medieval toilets, and the history of soda’s just to name a few

  11. Historical revolutions (French, Spanish, Italy, you name it and i tell the details:)

  12. I know waaaaaay too much about the Cascadian Subduction Zone. It’s a fault line between the continental and oceanic plates of the Pacific Northwest of the US.

Suffice it to say that I am literally never going to Seattle. Even to visit.

  13. Serial killings from 70’s/80’s/90’s. Thanks to streaming, I’ve seen every documentary, heard every podcast and am fascinated with the psychological, investigative and social aspect of it all. The victims, the suspects, the family/community left behind etc.

  14. some celebs, sometimes i feel like i literally know more about them than about me

  15. Religious symbols, iconography and the identification of saints and biblical stories in works of art – I am not religious at all but we had to be able to visually analyse works for my degree and I like Renaissance and Baroque art the most, most of which are history paintings and commissioned religious works.
