I (32m) am “seeing”, not explicitly “dating” a girl (32f). It started as friends a year ago due to covid problems meaning we couldn’t get close, but now it’s more frequent and we go on long walks, stay up talking for hours and have started to cuddle up and hug. Nothing more.
I went through a bad break up 3 years ago and since then I’ve had my guard up if I find myself attracted to someone. But I’ve grown to realise I’m mentally ready, and I really like this girl so want to progress things. I should have made a move already, but haven’t.
However, in 5-6 months I am emigrating to the other side of the world (U.K. to Australia) to work for an unknown amount of time.
I’ve told her I’m moving away, but she is unaware of my feelings towards her. Is it worth telling her or does this just put her in a horrible situation?
Side note – I am willing to “lose” or distance the friendship if needed. We’re not super close as friends and I have a good social circle.
