Hello! I just wanted to provide an update. I did another test and it came back negative! I’m just so relieved and was recommended to still take the antibiotics regardless so I’ll be starting that soon.
Thanks for those in the comments who were very informative and considerate on my end; it really meant a lot on not dropping the gun too soon after that first test. Boyfriend is in the process of getting tested as well just in case, but I’m just overall relieved.

Let this be a lesson to everyone in that comment section: REMEMBER YOUR BASE RATES. The odds of a false positive test are actually higher than the odds of having Chlamydia in the general population. So one positive test without symptoms is not strong evidence.
