While I (29M) feel the tingles and the heat most of the time during the day, it doesn’t really get into the way of my responsibilities, I learned to keep it in check and hold myself until I have a proper time window to let off my steam and get back to being people.

But whenever I try to talk about it with others I get plenty of mixed reactions, most of them are of people who think “sex is overrated” or that it must be annoying to be a constant hornball so they act pretty dismissive about it, some others talk freely about it but they pretty much have partners/FWBs to talk it over, and trying to find a somewhat constant partner hasn’t been exactly easy for me. I know there’s plenty of people out there that are on the same boat but I just haven’t gotten any luck finding them and some times it gets kind of frustrating to keep trying.

I’m not losing hope or anything, just wanted to mention it and maybe get some opinions about it, do you get in the mood at any moment? How do you deal with it? Do you ever get any “down” periods?

  1. I think it’s common for most people to have “down” periods, even for the strongest of libidos. As long as you don’t let your desire dictate your life, then it’s healthy and fine

  2. Nah, I’m the same as you and I’m a woman. It’s annoying on nights when I feel like I’m going to crawl out of my skin or punch something because I want sex so badly, but I don’t let it get in the way of anything. Just hold it in. And when you do get a partner that matches you…the fireworks are worth it.

But yeah it’s pretty much constantly a thought in the back of my head. It’s wild to me that most people aren’t horny all the time. Sex is a helluva drug.
