EE PayGo phone still working overseas without a top up?

It dawned on me today that the EE Pay as you Go phone I use whilst living abroad hasn’t been topped up for about 3 months and is still fully operational with texts, data and calls. Lucky quirk?

AFAIK if it doesn’t bounce off a UK mast eventually it will disconnect, happened to me when I was abroad for 6 months or so.

Many PAYG phones stay active for 90 days, use it and it will carry on.

Are you sure you haven’t signed up to some sort of recurring top-up payment?
