Yeah
Yes, and I have to return some video tapes.
Yeah he does a good American accent
After watching American psycho and a few of his Batman movies, I had no idea he wasn’t American.
Yeah
Yes, he’s a good actor. But the thing about American accents is that even if it sounds a little off, most Americans could just think that it’s some regional accent sneaking in.
Yes it’s pretty much flawless.
Yeah his accent is decent.
Theres a lot of british actors like him, Lennie James and Andrew Lincoln whose standard American accents are good enough to pass on first glance, but are subliminally “off” enough to notice once their origins are mentioned
Yes, but upon inspection it is flawed, but it can easily be brushed aside due to the characters odd cadence and calculated persona.
Let’s see Paul Allen’s accent
Yes.
Christian Bale is actually really good at passing himself off as an American.
I watched American Psycho, his Batman movies, and Terminator: Salvation and never realized he wasn’t American. I didn’t learn he wasn’t American until much later.
I didn’t know he was British until I saw it on the internet one day, do yeah he has a good accent.
I’ve seen plenty of comments from Americans who didn’t realize he wasn’t American.
I didn’t even know he wasn’t American until like last year…
I didn’t know he wasn’t American until this thread.
That said, in American Psycho he absolutely nails the specific accent you’d expect from an upper-class New York finance bro.
A fun fact I learned during the Batman trilogy is that he will only speak in the accent or voice he’s using for a film for the entire duration. Makes it easier to not slip up.
I didn’t know he wasn’t American so I’m gonna go with yes.
