I had like my 10th match (in a row) either flake or change plans last minute (then ghost), after solid conversation(s). One told me she wasn’t feeling it, which is completely fine, but the others have had engaging conversations, then just ghost after planning a date.
I’m on hinge and haven’t met my matches in months. Are people just collecting matches and redeeming it for cash?

No, it just means your matches are people that play around and aren’t serious about dating. They do it for the attention and use it to pass the time.
Most women have lot of options on dating apps, there is obviously another man in the picture, you are not her only match, she is at least talking to 15 other men. Maybe they are looking for attention and validation. That’s why I try to get to the point and ask her out very soon to prevent wasting my time. Don’t try to have a conversation on dating apps, only have a conversation in real life.

My understanding is most women on dating apps are there to just text some guys and get compliments. They don’t intend to go on dates.
hi! i’m a female that have used dating apps. i’m guessing these woman get a number of matches and a number of men asking them out at any given time. it could really be that you felt the conversation was great and they felt it was decent when they agreed to go on the date but later they matched and talked to more people they connected with better.
i think it might help to see your conversations. if you ask too early, it’s hard to establish rapport and it’ll be easy to flake on you. i guess for guys, you have to try harder esp if you are asking someone really pretty (high competition).
if they are engaging in conversation and wrote things in their profile, i don’t think they are just swiping for fun.
Dating apps require very little effort. You can be shitting and swiping at the same time. Therefore it attracts people who will put very little effort into dating aka not want to actually meet in person
