It is true that people with American flags in their porch usually tend to be racist or have ultra-nationalist behaviour against minorities?

  1. What a loaded question…

There are racists and ultra nationalists in every country. Some fly flags, some don’t.

  2. I hope not. I am very liberal and try to be good to all people. I have a U.S. flag up in the front yard.

  3. No, frankly most of them have moved on to other trashy flags these days

  4. Apparently having your country’s flag in your front yard makes you racist/an extremist now 🙄.

  5. Yes, because every home in the US with a US flag out in front is an ultra-nationalist racist ^/s

Stop getting your perceptions of Americans from Reddit. It does both you and I no good

  6. Nope.

And I say this as someone who is not overall that patriotic, who realizes America’s faults, and doesn’t wear the flag or fly the flag.

Most of the people I know who fly the flag were in the military. One of my teachers in high school was in the Army and told us he gets up at sunrise every day to raise the flag. We thought he was a bit strict for doing that, but he and everyone else I’ve known who has a flag in their yard or porch isn’t racist or ultra-nationalist or against minorities.

People flying the flag are generally more conservative, and part of that may mean they are less tolerant regarding illegal immigrants, but having an anti-illegal immigrant stance isn’t the same as an anti-minority stance.

  7. It is not.

I know many people that fly American flags. I fly one. I am not racist and no one I know personally that flies a flag is racist.

You have been misled on this one.
