I think it goes to any gender but people would imagine themselves as side they prefer in sex. It’s not woman/man it’s more like bottom/top/whatever I feel like.

I 100% get this. Hubby and I had this conversation few months back when we were talking about what we each look for while watching porn or stories; that’s why it’s not easy to find something we both enjoy together, but sometimes we do.
Hubby is picturing me playing the female role, with him as the male part, but mainly focusing on “me”, on how the female behaves and reacts, not on what the male feels. That’s where we are different, I focus on how the female feels, acts and reacts in a scenario. While watching or reading, I identify as the female, while watching or reading, hubby does not identify as the male as much. His visual sense is highly stimulated and that’s what gets him horny. I’m not that much visually stimulated, I focus on feelings and sensations.
