What’s something unhealthy that someone is doing and bragging about it, because they probably don’t know it’s unhealthy?

  1. Partying and bragging about their lack of sleep because of it. Or being hung over. I guess it’s supposed to make them loook cool?

  2. Working hard and playing hard. Hustle culture mixed with a jammed pack social life is just asking for a heart attack.

Rest is a good necessary thing.

  3. I was in the early stages of dating a woman around 2 years ago. She was a teacher and a damn good one; had taken on lots of responsibility in her short career and done well at it.

She said she’d often work a 60 hour working week. I told her that it wasn’t something to be proud of. I meant it in the nicest possible way that she simply was working too hard. She did agree with me and reduce her jobload over the time we were dating. Her issue was that she got lumped with stuff *because* she was good at it.

Adored that fucker; I still do, and she knows and feels the same. Unfortunately I moved away for work and we may not have another chance.

  4. Flashing cash on social media always seemed like a good way to get robbed and shot.

  5. People that brag about how they don’t read. Not necessarily unhealthy but I do think reading is good for the brain.

  6. My boss constantly brags about how she works like 4 extra hours each day and barely sleeps. I never know how to respond because I do not find that impressive.

  7. Tanning. Skin cancer isn’t cool yo.
And working 80 hrs a week. I don’t understand why people think it’s a flex to say they’re working 16 hrs a day.

  8. Being on a very particulate (fad) diet…this might be very specific but combined with a certain kind of personality, it makes it impossible to include them in social situations and it’s most likely unhealthy too

  9. Not using proper PPE. See this a lot in blue collar work, especially with younger guys. It’s seen as “tough” not to wear eye protection or a respirator when you are breathing in toxic shit.

  10. Revolving entire lives around social media and the quest for clout or whatever. I laugh every time I hear someone call themselves and influencer.

    Christ, learn some social skills.

  11. When people say, “I’m so stupid”, or something similar. This is usually said for the most meaningless of things, and you will eventually train your brain into believing it. And people say this and other things to themselves, or about themselves, that are detrimental to their health. It’s sad that a common way of communicating with others, has to be sarcastic self depreciation.

  12. When people say they are better drivers when they’re intoxicated. Shut up idiot.
