Just wondering if a condom that is too tight could cause any lasting damage?
It felt a bit tight but ignored it but during sex I could feel the end clamping around a bit hard. I could only do it for 5 minutes before I had to stop as it was too uncomfortable.
I had a red ring and indentation after and my penis was in a bit of pain.
I feel mostly fine now but I am worried about causing damage from the condom strangling my penis.
Could it cause any long term issues?

Tight condoms can cut off blood supply and lead to erectile dysfunction. They can also break more easily and cause a risk of pregnancy, using condoms incorrectly is irresponsible to say the least and you should not ignore it to continue your own pleasure. Have some respect for your partner next time.
You’re not going to lose your dick over a one overly tight condom. 20 minutes is the recommended safety window for a cock ring and those are a lot tighter than a snug condom. There are a lot of brands that offer a wider fits, and barring that you can even get custom condoms made that are tailored to you.
