Whatever the ‘good old days’ happens to mean for you.

For example, I have many fond memories based around music (CDs and radio), but not really any built around playlists / Spotify. Spotify is convenient and I still use it, but it’s also kind of shallow for me? So I don’t use Spotify or podcasts at all when I’m in my car – my only choices are local radio stations or CDs. No aux cable, no bluetooth.

  1. Sometimes i just gotta connect that PS1 or the SNES
    And relive my childhood

  2. blast the 80s music/alternative rock, I was born in the 90s but for some reason it just brings me right back to high school/junior high

  3. Bang my ex girl friend and get a whiff of the same smell i had 20 years ago

  4. Listen to a record. It’s not just the crackle of the needle over vinyl, it’s a moment of prep to fetch a record, take it out of its sleeve, set it down etc. Not as instant as firing up a playlist.

  5. i just recently built a native(Non VM, actually supported parts) Windows XP machine and bought a CRT Monitor for it. Brings me back to those good old days every time the XP starting sound blesses my ears.

Also switched from Steam and digital libraries, to physical only. That also made it much more fun just because of this nostalgic factor.

  6. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s. Sometimes I’ll visit places I grew up going to. Sometimes I’ll throw a 8”’s movie (dvd) and pour a bourbon which makes it more enjoyable. Also I meet up with old friends I grew up with and usually we’ll just talk about old times.
