Whats the difference between going on a date and asking someone out?

1. Asking means asking. Going means going

2. “Let me take you out on a date” to make it clear af next time.

3. A date is a single event.

   Going out is when you hang out all the time.

   For example, “Alex and Amy are going out” means they are a couple.

5. Just be clear about what you’re asking, e.g. “Would you like to go on a date?” vs “Would you like to be my girlfriend?” as something like “do you wanna go out” could be interpreted either way.
