Throwaway account due to obvious reasons. My (F28) bf(32M) and I have been dating from the past 3 years. I was looking into something via telegram from his phone and I saw the contact of his ex there. Now I have a doubt that he had a word with his ex since I saw her contact on telegram with no chat but her number isn’t saved on his phone. This created a doubt on my mind and Now I really have no idea how the contacts thing work on telegram and I am skeptical to confront him since discussion of exes topic doesn’t really land up in a good way for us. Also he’d ask for chat proofs which don’t exist. Please suggest how to go about this.

The fact that you have access to his phone says a lot about how much this guys trusts you. As for telegram, it automatically links contacts from your phone to your telegram account. It could be that his ex started using telegram which made him notice that he still had her number saved and he deleted it.
