  1. The US is a competitive and prosperous place that values its citizens. Fucking wrong across any and every metric.

  2. that the homeless are just down on their luck or have made a couple of mistakes and my $5 is going to help them back on their feet. if you lose your job you look to family. then to friends. then churches or charities, somewhere in there government programs. most people have a car to sleep in. you have to burn a lot of bridges to end up in a tent on a sidewalk.

  3. I really enjoy sautéed mushrooms now.
    I hate smoking weed now.
American flags make me cringe now.
I no longer hate a particular ex of mine.
Smoking cigarettes indoors seems insane to me now.

  4. That success is the result of hard work. You know, the 10.000 hour bullshit which implies you can become good at something if you just practice enough.

  5. I’m coming around to solar power (for home). It’s finally getting affordable, especially batteries. And the equipment is also getting pretty user friendly. AI mean, you still have to know something about electrical (safety and codes), but it’s almost plug-and-play.

And if sodium-ion can replace lithium… that would be incredible.

  6. Marijuana. Pretty chill with it now. Im not a user of it for a variety of reasons.

  7. I was never really afraid of dying until I met my ex and fell in love then I realised well fuck once you die you gone.

  8. Definitely weed. I was raised in the D.A.R.E Era and was adamantly against smoking (still am for cigarettes), but cannabis helped me through my anxiety as an alternative medicine to the prescription cocktails my doctors were throwing at me. It saved me a lot of money and had almost none of the side effects.

  9. “Management care about you”

What a pile of stinky horseshit that turned out to be. Just because they’re kind to your face and say hello everyday doesn’t mean they won’t screw you over.

  10. I majored in Finance and have worked in business my entire career. While I was not naïve about fair play I am amazed at the number of people who have risen to the top by climbing over an awful lot of dead bodies.

  11. I used to consider myself a conservative because I had the idea that only conservatives valued work ethic and responsibility. I’ve learned that simply isn’t true.

  12. I used to be against gay marriage, then I said, “Fuck, let them be miserable too.”
