TL;DR: those of you who get brazilian waxes and also have casual sex: do you put off meeting new people when you’re due for a wax?

pubic hair removal has been a nightmare for me since puberty. i really dislike having pubic hair, even though i’ve tried to acclimate to it countless times just to avoid having to remove it. i have extremely sensitive skin – no shaving routing conceivable is enough to prevent painful razor burn and ingrowns. i tried waxing myself, but i’m just not skilled enough to make a neat job of it. i’m finally fed up enough to fork over the cash to have it done professionally.

i’m also just now at a point in my life where i want to have (safe and sensible) casual sex. i’m not gonna lie and say that i’m not nervous about what potential partners would think if they saw me with a few weeks of hair growth. i would just shave it if the timing was inconvenient, but then i would have to reschedule my wax appointment and deal with the razor burn from hell for weeks afterwards.

am i overthinking this? should i give a disclaimer to a potential partner that i need to get waxed before we meet so that they can decide if pubic hair is a deal breaker or not?

  1. When I do the shaving around my private parts I always do it in a warm shower:

If you get a small tub, and invest in a mens shaving brush set, something like this:

    [https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shaving-Stainless-Steel-Holder-Badger/dp/B08RZ2S3WS](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shaving-Stainless-Steel-Holder-Badger/dp/B08RZ2S3WS)

Then you can lather up your hair and slowly remove it and it really helps with stopping the razer burn.

Then once out of the shower and dried off, either use some aloe vera gel or talcum powder to help put a barrier on the skin from your underwear etc.

Go for the mens products instead of the women’s as they made for very thick hair, so will work on pretty much any type 🙂
