I know T-Mobile has prepaid sims that are good for the US and Mexico both.
The problem with prepaid is that it’s pretty much always short on data while full plans often come with a longer term contract.
Still, the prepaids usually have 10-15 gigs which is plenty to get by with navigation and messengers, just not if you’re planning to stream a lot of video or something.
I’d recommend the international plan that your carrier provides. Least hassle and you use your own phone
