I’m very curious as to what people from the 70s-90s did in their 20s. Mainly because I am trying this new thing where I want to stay away from social media as long as possible.

I’ve started by just simply logging off all the social apps (tik tok, IG, YouTube etc). And I’m trying to be more present with the people that surround me. I’m just tired of looking at mostly negative information on my social media and I would just love to go back to a place when I was younger when I didn’t need it to entertain me.

My questions are as follows: if there was a power outage, what would you do?

How often did you spend time with your friends at the time?

Do you sort of miss your 20s? Why or why not?

What decade did you think was the best time for you personally?

  1. I (42) spent my teenage years alone in my room listening to record albums all the way through and just writing or doing something artistic like messing around with paints, pastels, etc. My friend and I would also make our own episodes of the TV shows we watched or just short movies that we all knew were stupid but did anyway.

We also had magazines, which I know they still have today, but there were so many more and that was the only source you had to get information about your fav actors or singers or pop culture.

Practice the art of putting on your headphones and listening to an album from start to finish while staring at the ceiling and off into space.
