Women of Reddit, When do you think it’s ok to tell someone how to parent?

  1. When they ask your advice or are doing something that actively endangers their child

  2. When they are doing a shit job of it. Their spawn being poorly raised doesn’t just impact the parent, it impacts every person the kid interacts with AND messes up the kid.

  3. I’m perhaps a bad example, because I’m a doctor so it’s literally my job to do this. But usually only when it comes to the child’s health.

In my personal life, that means telling my cousin that she shouldn’t put soda in her toddler’s sippy cup and being told “no it’s fine, he loves it”.

  4. Never found a point in trying, they’ll only get angry and defensive even if you’re obviously right
