Why do adults stop playing even when they have time for recreation?

  1. Not every hour is the same as other hours.

Many people are *tired* when they got home from work.

They may also feel overloaded from mentally intense work or a stressful day.

  2. Many adults don’t stop playing. It just looks that way because their “play” transforms to things other than sports and games, and moves into areas like hobbies, art or learning stuff just for the fun of it.

  3. If you mean stop playing video games, I have other things that take up my fun time now. I might want to edit some photographs I’ve taken, I might be at martial arts or climbing this evening, or I may just want to sit around watching TV instead of playing a game.

I still play, and have fun, it just looks different than when I was younger.
