Once a year unless we get a big stain.
Someone gave us a Kirby carpet cleaner a few years back which makes it super convenient.
I hate carpet. That shit is gross. Pull one up once and youll never want that shit in your house again.
I have no carpets.
Most manufacturers want you to professionally clean it once a year to maintain the warranty.
Wood floors here, but we do have a couple of large ruggables and those get washed once a year unless there’s a big stain.
i live in a student room with carpet (yep, i dont know what dumbass that was a good idea.)
never. though i did once clean a puke stain out with laundry detergent, worked pretty dahm well.
id pull it out, but theres a piece of the underlying floor thats missing so i cant.
might pull it out of my extra room though, have to ask my landlord if thats ok. it isnt even glued down
Never. My floors are maple wood.
Vacuum couple times a week and will use a handheld if something drops. I use a carpet cleaner with the soap and all that one every few months or so, but we own a residential model.
Well we have dogs that like to piss and shit on them if we don’t realize they need to go out in the middle of the night, so quite a bit more then I’d like. We vacuum every week or two. We probably use the carpet cleaner 4 or 5 times a year. I’ve recently found a company that cleans couches, so now that gets done once a year before Christmas.
For those of you that have dogs, it’s much easier to get runner type rugs that you can throw in the wash machine. The rubbed backed ones are best, but you can usually get smaller rubber runners that go underneath the rug to prevent slipping for dirt cheap at a hardware store.
I have some area rugs and having the 2:1 vacuum that uses cleaning fluid for carpets makes it nice and easy to maintain as you are doing it while you vacuum.
once per year.
We rent a carpet cleaning machine from ollie’s monthly
Vacuum weekly. Professional cleaning maybe yearly.
