Went to a restaurant with some friends and met this beautiful girl who works there. It was love at first site, I had to shoot my shot. We spoke for a minute or so and the connection and energy was there but she had to go back to work. So she wrote her number on a piece of paper before she left and gave it to me. I then put it in my pocket but somehow I misplaced it. I need some advice, Part of me wants to go back and tell her I lost it and see if I can get it again but I don’t wanna come off as desperate. Any advice?

Definitely go back and ask for her number again. It doesnt make you seem desperate, merely interested in her. I think it would be a huge shame if you never got to see how you would get along because you didnt want to seem desperate. I know many people think they have to take care not to seem desperate but if you try to play uninterested or less interested instead you’re just likely to lose their attention instead, as they will think you’re not that into them. Dont be afraid to show someone that you’re interested in them! It will only make her like you more.
If she wouldnt be working there when you drop by, give your phone number to someone working there and ask if they can give it to her. Explain that you lost her number by accident after she gave it to you. And I say that you should give your number instead of asking for hers, if its not her you’re talking to, because a lot of guys tend to flirt with waitresses and they wouldnt know if you were lying just so you would get her number to harass her or not. So give them your number with an explanation and ask her to contact you so you dont risk coming off as a creep, since they might not know she gave you her number. Alternatively, if they dont want to do that either, you could ask them if they know when she’s working next so you can ask her directly.
If you would give your number to someone else and she doesnt reach out, maybe try going back to see if she’s working then and ask her if she got your mumber from her coworker, just in case it got lost somewhere across the way. Just make sure to explain that you unfortunately lost her number.
You should go back explain and ask for the number again. Worst case scenario she doesn’t give you the number again but would you rather come off as interested or lose your shot.
