What do you regret buying?

  1. My ball dress. Wore it once and would never wear it again. So expensive too!

  2. I bought expensive markers only to find they were duds. Some manufacturing error. Only got $15 refund and company who makes them won’t respond.

merchandise from an anime I no longer like.Spent hundreds.

2 diffusers which were crap, barely diffuse..l spent easily $160 on them

    plants which died

    craft kit fails

    some art supplies

    crystals

video games I have no idea why I enjoyed

cds and DVDs. Nothing wrong with them but they take up a lot of room and I’m not much of a buff so once the dvd is watched, that’s it. This was before Spotify.

sricker making kit, I got sticker stuck in machine and it broke machine and also its only used once for this particular set! So heaps of waste. Also the glue adhesive was old and yellowed so didn’t work properly. I threw it out. So many stickers failed.

essential oils. Hundreds of dollars. So mad at myself.

lock box. Somehow the numbers to punch in I stuffed up. Left with hunk of plastic I threw out.. easily cost like $100

dna ball thing and slime kit. Dries up or something happens to it

dianond dots kit I spent about $100 on it for the dots to go all over the floor and my bed. Went in trash.

  3. $200 on a Chromebook that did absolutely 0 things. Couldn’t even properly browse the web and randomly stopped working after very few uses.

That’s when I learned that money DOES matter for computers… got very into PC gaming, and spent $500 on a PC that actually runs for my work, gaming, and hobbies.

  4. The makeup products that I never wear. (Clothes too 😑)

I’m on a no buy this year.

  5. Sometimes I regret buying so much macrame cord, but then I make a bomb piece of art or a functional storage piece. So my views on the purchase oscillate wildly

  6. fenty beauty setting powder

i bought bc it was on sale and i had heard it was good but then i stopped wearing makeup completely and haven’t used it at all

  7. I bought this “skin tightening” cellulite cream. Smelled amazing, but didn’t do anything. Unfortunately the only way to “get rid” of cellulite is to lift weights. Even then so you still may have some. Which is nbd. I think I’ve learned to love my dimpled thighs.

  8. Hair care products to tame frizz. Curly hair products. Some don’t work, and the ones that do either break me out or cause my hair to thin over time. I’ve just left my hair alone now.

  9. i buy useless shit everyday but the most expensive thing was my prom dress. class of 2020, didn’t go to prom, it was final sale. $250 + $50 for alterations, WASTED

  10. I bought an expensive outfit (which included dress, heels, earrings, necklace, etc) for a cousin’s wedding that cost me 400$, just wore it there and in another ceremony in a span of 3 years.

  11. My gym membership. I started it in the beginning of 2020, when I was exmatriculated and couldn’t use my student discount on my former gym anymore. Most of it I could never use because of COVID and then I failed to end the contract in time and had to pay another year. Legally, they’re obliged to reimburse me for all the time that they were closed during lock down, but they’re stalling. So not only did I not get my money’s worth, I now also have this hassle to get back what’s legally mine.

  12. Kids toys. They play with them for a week then toss them aside. Thousands of dollars wasted!

  13. Things off Instagram for beauty. Also, a lot of things from Aritzia are a waste of money for the poor quality.

  14. Getting my bathroom remodeled all at once. over $5,000 down the drain and they didn’t even do the job right.

  15. All the money I’ve ever spent on different shades of lipstick. Every shade I try never seems like it works for me. That, or I feel like people think I’m trying too hard when I’m wearing it. If I try to wear some, I’ll just keep worrying about getting it on my teeth or smearing it on my mouth. Then I always want to wipe it off before I eat. It’s too much stress.

  16. I splurged on this super nice blazer to wear for job interviews in February 2020. The pandemic has made my mental health shit, I’ve gained weight so it’s probably too small, and I honestly will probably never wear it even if I do venture out into the world again because now I only wear leggings and sweatshirts.

  17. I am a watch enthusiast. I have a few I love and cherish. But since the pandemic hit, I haven’t worn even one. They’re all locked up and I don’t really miss them. It’s just a lot of money sitting idle in my wardrobe. Shrug.
