If they get showered with gifts that’s probably a reason to do it.
Blame the numpties who watch them do fuck all.
Narcissism
Because it works. The ‘gifts’ are very low value, so they put tags like ‘make me laugh and ill hang up’ so people spam them with likes for attention to their comment because in reality they’re spending maybe 5 pound but you imagine 100 people doing it. Tiktok is rife with ‘look at my comment person doing live and read my name!’ so a few quid from them scratches that itch to them.
Tiktok is great if you get on someones page who can have a bit of banter. I’ve spent a few drunken nights scolling through and having a laugh on peoples lives, great at 12am on a friday when everyone is pissed. Worse ways to spend your time.
Not being snobby, but there is definately a certain average user of tiktok lives. Alot of them are jobless with too much time on their hands, maybe just a bit lonely too, craving some interaction. A gift that costs 10 coins is like 5p that goes to the user as far as I know…so it’s probably not for the money.
Why are you spending enough time on strangers’ TT pages to notice this trend …?
Because they are attractive young women?
