I don’t mean naps like sleeping from day 17-19 but sleeping on the couch, with plenty of lights and sounds on for 5-20 minutes. I always thought it was an old man thing whenever my dad did/does it yet this summer I myself have started doing it at 22 years of age even with the lights on and people around. Guess I’m getting old

Edit: I also got food coma during the spring after lunch after never experiencing it before

  2. had heart surgery at 41, after recovery doctor told me id be tired more often, naps are good. So fuck it, when i feel like a nap, i take a nap, its glorious.

  3. Honestly during my time active duty. There’s quite a few boring moments and you learn how to sleep in all fashion of weird places and positions

  4. I never stopped. Throughout my whole life I’ve dozed off if i sit still too long or do something that’s really boring/monotonous. I can’t help it.

  5. Most of my life, I would get back from school at around 2pm and I would sleep for a half an hour before eating something around 3

  7. Started it in the military.

Stopped doing it from like 28-35, started doing it again recently.

Its great. 15 minutes and I can stay up another 6 hours, easy.

However in my older age (36) im starting to need more recovery time, or better sleep at night 🙁

  8. In my teens. Would often sleep on the floor in my room after school. Sometimes my mum would come in to check that I was still breathing. 😄 I have a talent for falling asleep fast in basically any surrounding.

I still nap pretty much everyday. It’s essential for my existence.

  9. Idk i have insomnia and heavy anxiety issues for about 12 years. I’ve been having periods of stating-quitting and doing it all over again with antidepressants, drugs and medicines. Since then i always feel zooming out like on a fog, i get sleepy randomly during my day and i usually need to take short naps.

  10. Fuck, I can’t do that even if I want to. If the sun is up, I’m up. I need to be extraordinarily tired to nap during the day.

  11. When I realized my life is going no where shortly after graduating college with a BA in Poli-Sci. Might not have a professional job- but at least I can nap often!

  12. I’ve always had that superpower to be able to fall asleep in any position, anytime, anywhere.

  13. when i started doing day and night work and id have a bout a hour or 2 gap in between.

  14. I live in Spain where it’s built in our culture to have a siesta (a rest) between 2pm and 6 pm (depends what time you eat, come back from your first half of the workday, etc) and until now I haven’t really taken naps. I’m nearly 24, but I also must admit that they have started to creep in since this year and honestly they are great. Time is a weird concept over here and if it’s too hot outside and it’s better to go do something at night then a nap is super beneficial!

  15. I didn’t start until 37.. and it didn’t last for too long.. too many links to strokes and high blood pressure. I’ll get all the sleep I need when I’m dead..

  16. In my 20s when I started travelling for work a lot, I taught myself to mask on planes. I can pretty much nap anywhere I want as a result.
