How important are looks and age to marry (arranged marriage)? Is 8 years a big age difference? (The guy is kind, smart, funny and his values align with mine. He has a good build but isn’t too attractive. My mum is sceptical about considering him for marriage <she thinks he is too huge for me>. He is well settled).

Looks aren’t forever. Having a fun , loving partner you can relate to matters most. Also…arranged?

And 8 year difference at what ages?
1. What you think is the most important thing. Your mother is only one voice.
2. Looks should be a lesser factor than kindness, intelligence, humor, values. Looks change and fade.
3. The age difference is less important than the life milestones each of you has reached. Have you both finished school? Do you both live independently?
