I’m planning on buying a bass from a music store but I’m worried because I don’t know what to do (I’ve never been to a music store). What do I do when I enter the store? Do I just pick up the bass myself and try it out or should I ask first? What should I do since I can’t play the bass yet and don’t want to embarrass myself? Should I ask an employee for help? Basically could anyone explain step by step what to do when going to the store and buying the instrument?

I would go up to an employee and ask. Tell them it’s your first time buying from a music store and are wondering if they have any recommendations.
