Sadly, there is no advice I could give my younger self to improve my communication skills.
My parents dropped the ball in the 0-4 stage, and I didn’t have friends or playdates ot anything. I’m missing the set of instructions that come between “total strangers” and “casual acquaintances” when it comes to making friends.
It’s not shyness, or a fear of rejection, it’s flat out “file not found”. Which is a shame, as I’m an extrovert.
1. Learn to talk to people in cities you’ll never go to again, since you won’t see them ever again
2. Try to avoid talking about your problems with our parents. Our mom wouldn’t understand and our dad makes it way worse than it is
3. Starting a conversation is easy, keeping it going is the hard part. Learn to keep it going online via Omegle or something
