I’m trying to remember a tv character from possibly the 80s or early 90s. He was either a real or pretend cook or chef, and he had an alter ego, called Paul Smortions, based on serving smaller portions of food. By way of becoming this character, using tv graphics he shrunk himself.
Can anybody help me remember him as nobody around me recalls and I’m starting to think I’m imagining him.

Big cook, little cook?
I remember a scene on Rentaghost where they were cooking and one of them shrunk (very bad TV effects) but that was 70’s I believe, though I remember it in the 80’s when I was a kid.
It’s not any mentioned so far.
