  1. Brendan Fraser

This was a few years ago when he was trying to re-launch his career. My girlfriend’s company did security for Comicon, So we went down for the day (NEVER AGAIN but that’s another story) Because her company was running security we had green room access and went to the front of all the lines. We went to see Brendan Fraser and they had him in this big room where you get a photo taken with him, He was due to start at 2pm but he arrived 10 minutes early so he could go down the line and speak to all the handicapped people who are allowed to go to the front of the line. He took his time to talk to all of them and seemed like a genuine guy.

Then when the photos started everybody would filter in one by one and awkwardly stand next to him like they do with all celebrities, He would make eye contact with everyone, then Pull them in to a big side by side hug and smile for the photo, Then say goodbye and send them on their way. He was genuinely happy to see everybody coming to have a photo with him and made everybody feel at ease.

We are not really into celebrities, but we got our photo taken with him and have it on our wall. He seems like a good guy.

  2. Not a man but worked in London at quite a few prestigious places/private member clubs.

In this order from surprisingly kind to still really lovely:
Benedict Cumberbatch > Brad Pitt > Tom Daley > Ed Sheeran > Tim Burton > Asa Butterfield > Geoffrey from Game of Thrones, idk his name > Pixie Lott > Dicaprio

The order is just simply due to them talking/not being chatty, so not that they were less nice.

I met quite a few more but they weren’t anything special, just normal human treating strangers as strangers.

I also met Bieber and Cara Delevingne and her friends. Both were awful experiences. Bieber was just rude and arrogant, Cara was doing coke and while she was very polite, her friends were just plain rude and bitchy.

  3. Here’s a few of my experiences.

Ed O’Neil “Al Bundy “ he was nice also talked a lot about how kind and thoughtful Sofia Vegara is.

David Robinson tipped me $8 for moving his luggage

Cassidy Kline was the most down to earth sincere person

William Shattner “Captain Kirk” was nice and smelled like alcohol

Eddie Murphy at blockbuster video lol. Was angry and not smiling.

Jake Shimabukuro “ukulele guy” let me hold and play his ukulele

Dolly Parton I ran into her and her boobs when I was young in Waikiki. She asked if I was okay.

Takanohana “sumo champion” was kind enough to take a photo.

Celine Dion didn’t speak or say a word

Kimura Takuya “Japanese famous actor singer” kept saying “stop” stop” of people trying to take photos

Tyra Banks was the kindest sweetest of them all. She was so down to earth, kind, and thoughtful.

Izrael Kamakawiwoole “somewhere over the rainbow” he was on oxygen, but he waved.

Goldberg “pro wrestler” pretended to choke my neck for a photo

  4. Pre forest Logan Paul, I didn’t didn’t expect much but he was a chill dude he blushed a bit when I said he’s the first YouTuber I watch that I met in person

  5. I met Dick Clark at my GF’s company Christmas party. She was an unimportant production assistant. Her company produced a show that Clark hosted. He was pleasant, chatted with my GF and I for a couple of minutes. A year later, at the next company Christmas party, He walked up to me and shook my hand and said “Hi Carl!, how have you been?”. He had remembered my name. This was in the mid 80s, so he wasn’t a young man then, but he was as sharp as a tack.

  6. Met a lot of “celebrities” only a few that the majority would know…
The guys in *NSYNC, lol. Very nice, patient.

Gerard Way(my chemical romance) very energetic and happy guy!

Favorite, Adam Driver, gracious, humble and funny!

  7. Not necessarily “A-listers”, but I’ve met a few folk that would be considered celebrities:

    * I met chef/restauranteur Ming Tsai at a book signing. He was exactly as kind, patient and engaging as he appears to be on his cooking shows.

    * Deion Sanders, former American football player. He would regularly fuel up his car at a gas station my mom managed, and was on a friendly acquaintance basis with her for awhile. He was very kind and down to earth, and was always apologetic when he came in because he would only carry large bills that the station would have to break. My mom teased him about it.

    * Not me, but my brother met author and book blurb writer Neil Gaiman at a talk. My brother isn’t a Gaiman fan, but he said that Gaiman was very humble and thoughtful.

  8. Nichelle Nichols. Truly a class act. Was in an autograph line at MegaCon many years ago. The guy ahead of me in line was chatting her up; completely innocuous questions about her family. I don’t remember the specifics of the question, but he asked her something about how old one of her relatives was, to which she responded, “they’re all grown up,” assume to not divulge her age. I interjected with, “Good answer,” and she responded with a wink.

Hulk Hogan and his son Nick Bollea. I sat in the row directly behind them and their dates at a movie theater watching Adam Sandler’s “That’s My Boy”. Before the movie started, Nick turned around to my friend and I and apologized if they were blocking our view of the screen.

  9. Charles Barkley has a pretty bad wrap. When I met him, he was very kind, funny and considerate.

  10. Not that it was a surprise, but Carlos Santana was an absolute gem of a human being when we met him in line at an airport at 6am.

  11. Cameron Diaz

I was at LAX waiting for my flight back home to Chicago. Anyway we were just walking around because it was gonna be a couple hours. My mom was the first one to spot her and she said the jello line from “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and Cameron Diaz said that was one of her favorite roles in a movie. I was a freshman in high school and I was honestly surprised with how cool she was.

We were talking to her and I even showed her pictures from our trip to the Grand Canyon. She said how she has never been and I said how pictures don’t do it justice since it is way better in person.

After we finished talking to her we went back to our terminal and she was gonna go on a flight to New York. She said how it was a secret. Anyway when we got back I saw that she was on Jimmy Fallon and I watched the section with her, really cool person.

  12. Peter Falk was so above and beyond, I’m still in shock at his kindness 25 years later.

Friends and I, at the tail end of our tenure at a performing arts high school had purchased VIP tickets to a gala closing at the Toronto Film Festival for a movie called Tune in Tomorrow. Mr. Falk was one of the stars of the movie.

I wore a fake tuxedo and the lot of us were clearly embarrassing 17 year old celeb hunters. To give an example of this, one friend and I stood patiently about a foot and a half from Andrea Martin as she was catching up with someone who was clearly an old friend of hers. After quite a few minutes, once it was clear we weren’t going anywhere she held a hand up to her friend, turned to us and said… “Yes..” with a hint of impatience. This was the exact moment I realized I had literally nothing to say to her. So that’s who we were that night.

Nevertheless, when we struck up a conversation with Peter Falk, who as one of the stars of the movie no doubt had other more important people to be talking to, he, upon finding out we were theatre students, expressed genuine interest and hung out with us for a good 15-20 mins, asking us lots of questions about our school and ourselves. He was so generous with his time.

Hands down the nicest of all the celebs I’ve encountered over the years and there have been a quite a few.

  13. I ran into Chael Sonnen in downtown Portland. My buddy and I were out drinking and clubbing and randomly bumped into him in the street. I asked him if it’s true that he has the biggest guns in West Linn and he said something witty and flexed. Awesome guy
