When I go out with friends we always have a ton of fun. However, most fun is being made during the pre-drinks. Once we hit the club, there’s always that friend who’s throwing preying eyes with the sole purpose of getting a girl and there’s almost always that empty feeling when he fails. Simply said, we’re not really going to the club for fun, but for a guaranteed disappointment.

Nowadays I usually try to avoid clubs, but there’s not too much else next to some bars (that usually feel awefully like clubs).

What about you?

  1. In my clubbing days (1980’s) they were for picking someone up.

Don’t know if that’s the same now. Haven’t been to a club for over 30 years lol.

  2. I don’t really go clubbing anymore, but yes, clubbing was because I love dancing with my friends more than picking someone up. If someone in our friend group wanted to do that, we all decided to help wing-woman her, but it was and is (when I go on occasion) for dancing.

  3. People in general everywhere are less concerned about dating since they have online dating to fall back on. 30 years ago the only way to meet a life partner was in public scenes like this.

  4. I’m 21F and the only reason I go to the club is to have fun with friends, I don’t look for guys and brush off the ones that claim to be looking for me 🙂

  5. I’ve gone, tried to hit on girls, been rejected and still had a pretty good time
