I have really long hair, and would like to try out shorter hair, and different colours, without the commitment.

Would it bother you if a girl wore different wigs once in a while or is that weird?

I’m also really into dressing up/cosplay and role playing, so thought it could spice things up if I could have a completely different look for a day, would guys find that fun

  1. Why not? Sounds like you’ve got a good reason for it, just don’t let it catch some unsuspecting partner by surprise.

  2. I keep it in mind for when we get in an argument so I can snatch off her head when I need to make a point. 😆

  3. As long as you aren’t going from shorter to longer, no guy would have an issue with it.

  4. Personally it wouldn’t bother me, it shouldn’t look ridiculous as long as it’s a good quality wig, otherwise it would be ugly

  5. As long as it’s a good quality wig that’s applied correctly, I see no problem with it. I think it’s a smart way to experiment without causing lasting effects to your actual hair.

  6. I read your title and thought for a second that “Wigs” was probably a restaurant or a sports team in some other country, legitimately.

That’s how much I don’t care. Never even crossed my mind.

How many women are walking around out there with a significant portion of their hair as extensions. You think men know? Care? Care and have the balls to complain? Fucking, you do you

  7. Not a fan of wigs being used on a regular basis, it feels like a sign for a high-maintenance woman.

If it’s just to take a new hairstyle for a test drive, that’s cool; if you’re making it into another collection of accessories I find it strange.

  8. Literally had this conversation with my wife last week. It’d be fun but expensive. I’m curious what she’d look like as a blonde, short hair, super curly hair, etc. Wigs are a great way to satisfy that curiosity without committing

  9. Most men will never realize you are wearing a wig unless the wig is cheap or you don’t do a good job putting it on.

My opinion is have fun with them. Nothing wrong with wearing a wig.

  10. I don’t understand it, but I know that wigs are a cultural thing, I know that lots of Black women in America wear them. I don’t see why you shouldn’t wear a wig with your experimental hairstyle to get used to seeing yourself like that. Also good for getting feedback from people that you care about. I don’t mind wigs if I don’t k ow theres a wig. It’s kinda wierd when it is obvious or suddenly comes off though

  11. My wife always had dark hair. She bleached it a year or so ago and the first she blew me, it took me a second to realize I wasn’t being a piece of shit. I think it could be fun. The only downside I can think of is not being able to pull on it a little.

  12. Hey, if it makes a person feel more confident about themselves and how they look, they should go for it. But a lot of them do look ridiculous.

  13. Make up, high heels, and corsets all seem to be more than ok with most guys, so why not some fake hair? Besides, if it makes you happy then that is all that should really matter to anyone that matters to you.

  14. I’m like this, if it allows you to try out different things and you enjoy it, more power to you.

I don’t see it any different than extensions and the like.

  15. Doesn’t bother me and some of them are pretty cool. I have a friend that has very short hair and sometimes wears one that is really long braids and it looks fucking bad ass

  16. If it’s a “we just met and on the second date I figure out you wore a wig all the time” situation, then I may be bothered… depending if I find the natural hair style and color attractive.

But if I already knew you and you say it’s part of your hobby or something for the bed room, then I wouldn’t have any problem with it.

  17. Cosplay / dress up / roleplay – “Absolutely Sister Catherine, I was very naughty. 😉 ”

Once in a while, sure – but where I live if you do that in the summer you’re gonna roast.

  18. Is it wierd? I’d personally find it a bit odd.

Does it matter? No if you want to do somthing do it for yourself. If someone doesn’t like it to bad. You should be making changes for yourself and not worrying if some men find it wierd. Let me tell you a secret men aren’t a monolith and what one guy is into isn’t going to be the same as another guy.

  19. If you need a wig wear one that fits your style just like you would your own hair. If you’re using it as a fashion accessory and changing appearance frequently I wouldn’t care for it. But at the end of the day just do you, that’s what matters most.

  20. Where I’m from wigs are for cancer patients and old guys in denial, so I would find it weird.

  21. I’m OK with wigs on occasion (like if it’s part of a costume), but not everyday. I’d rather the women I’m dating have short hair/be bald than to wear something that’s not their natural hair, and I find out about it later.
