And where would you recommended ? Something that doesn’t break the bank (Mainly in the EU)

33M, no commitments, love a party but also chilling by a pool.

Looking forward to your responses!!

  1. Scotland on Motorbike. Wife refuses to join me. Tent and bits onback of bike. As far away from humans as possible. The only speaking to others is to say ‘pump number whatever, please. Thank you’. Pure bliss.

  2. Portugal is a safe, friendly place to visit for solo travellers. Could travel easily on a budget using the very cheap train services. Lisbon has great night life and you could also see some of the coastal towns for a more chilled or sightseeing experience. Algarve is obviously known for nightlife but also has some really picturesque spots and nice beaches.

  3. I’ve only done one solo trip but I very much recommend Porto! I got a private room at a hostel which was the best of both worlds. Happy in my own company but also met people at the hostel bar which was fun. I’m not really a clubber so I can’t speak to that but it was a great city to visit and I didn’t ever feel overwhelmed or lonely.

  4. Driving around Italy…but not in August, it’s too hot. I drove to Naples and back. It was insanely awesome. Top Gear roads, wonderful food, superb scenery and lovely people. And of course, the history, art and culture. The coffee and the ice cream is to die for. A small economical car will do the job. I went in an old VW Golf.

  5. A very similar question was asked a couple of days ago, the whole beauty of solo holidays is that it’s all about you.

  6. Yep I have been on holidays myself a few times. I’d recommend avoiding common stag do locations (Prague/Hamburg etc).

Munich would be awesome solo I think. Porto is really nice solo.

  7. I’ve been really tempted to do this with Romania but I’m unsure how safe it would be. Ibiza can be amazing and not break the bank as long as you just ignore the big clubs and drink at less popular inland locations. Beer goes from 6 euros to 1… big difference. But easy for me to say as I get free accommodation there, I’m unsure how the cheapest hotels are there tbh, but if you go all inclusive then you basically don’t have to worry about anything else which would be a big plus

  8. Done plenty of solo trips, it’s bliss. Not so much anymore, met the love of my life in Rome, would recommend it there.

  9. I’ve only remained in the UK, but done a few caravan breaks by myself. Last one I did was in Somerset. Unusually book through Sun Holidays, or the parks direct. I go off season and never paid more than £160 for 4 nights.

I love that there’s the option to do stuff in the day time, then on an evening I have a caravan to myself so dont have to go out for food if I don’t want to. The parks are usually quiet off season, and never been questioned why I’m alone.

  10. Just got back from a number of trips, a large portion solo, Italy is a good shout, Austria I did and really enjoyed it, plus Turkey but I knew friends in both cities who acted as unofficial guides for bits of it

Austria + Italy would be my shouts tbh, Austria I had a friend who I didn’t see as she wasn’t in the area but guided me with public transport options, the apps to use etc, and Italy is amazing

  11. In my early 20’s i wanted to do something different, something that i wouldn’t normally do, so i went to Canada by myself for a month.

  12. Well Forbes recommends Pakistan to single females. As we are moving past the inequality era so this should apply to you, too.

  13. Iceland. The cost of food and drink might get a bit steep, but getting there and staying there is pretty affordable. Plenty of hot springs to chill out in with a beer or 2.

  14. 5 years experience here:
    – my favourite is Spain (Balearics, Canary Islands)
    – Amsterdam
    – Munich
    – Paris
    – Italy

Take the plunge and go! It’s a beautifully freeing experience.
