I think it’s a bit odd to ask if your SO loves you more than they love a sibling, or for somewhere to volunteer that information if they weren’t asked.
They are different types of love, and they are all valid and important.
Girlfriend is temporary, family is forever..
Many languages have more words for love to describe emotion better. Sibling love and romantic love isn’t same love. Saying you love your sister more than your girlfriend is like saying you enjoy eating cheeseburgers more than watching family guy. Sure you can compare them but they aren’t in same category.
He should love his sister more than you unless you’re at the stage where you seriously want to get married and spend the rest of your lives together. He didn’t have to say it though, unless you asked in which case he’s in the right and you shouldn’t ask a question you don’t want the answer to.
